Senior executives in Biostimulant, BioAg and related AgTech sectors close the gap between strategic, business-critical issues and address regulatory hurdles impeding market access.
EBIC/New Ag International Farm to Fork Conference
Bringing together a diverse community of thought leaders, sustainability experts, and food chain stakeholders, the conference will transform your understanding of the global business drivers that will shape your operating environment for years to come.
Session 1: Geopolitics of Food and Agriculture
Food production, trade, security, and sustainability occur against a geopolitical background that is increasingly challenging. We explore how these geopolitical forces affect policy choices and constrain or enable the actions of business, farmers, consumers and other stakeholders. As agriculture copes with producing enough healthy food to feed a growing population in this ever-changing context, biostimulants have emerged as an essential technology to add to the toolbox.
Session 2: Biostimulants, Ag-Inputs and Climate Change
In this session, speakers and panellists address the gaps between reality on the ground and the imperatives of global climate change and how policy can either empower or hobble efforts of farmers, business, and consumers to close that gap. This session explores how to manage climate-related goals within food production and the difficulties of achieving them without adding biostimulants to the mix. It asks how policy frameworks can accelerate the scaling of innovations that will allow leaps forward in grappling with climate change.
Session 3: Biostimulants and Promoting Soil Health
There is a growing recognition that an existential sustainability crisis is forming under our feet. Around the globe, soil degradation and loss of topsoil are literally eroding our agricultural productive capacity just as the demand for high-quality food increases inexorably. Soil health means looking beyond physical and chemical indicators to the health of soil ecosystems, which is are tied to soil carbon, a key factor in both mitigating and adapting to climate change. This session will look at the growing momentum to prioritize soil health and the central contribution that plant biostmulants can make to protecting and improving this precious resource.
Session 4: What does «food for all» mean in Europe today?
In a global context, hunger in Europe may seem like a distant memory. But when you scratch below the surface, the picture is more troubled. Malnutrition is more prevalent than undernutrition, as relected by the relentless climb in obesity across the region over recent decades. The underlying reasons are complex and include socio-economic factors. But when late frosts, record drought, and floods struck in 2021, food prices soared, and some fresh produce became rare. How can food production become more resilient to climate volatility, and how can plant biostimulants help? How can the food chain, including the biostimulants industry, better cope with logistical shocks like those covid has triggered?
